Step by Step Guide for Auction Buyers

1. Search

Browse through our current online tender auction listings to find the jewellery items that you would like to purchase. Use the category and item type drop down menus to refine your search criteria. The tender auction list is a live list in order of the newest added products.  As our auction site is by tendered offers and popular items will often receive multiple offers in a short period.  All official tender offers are first referred to the seller for approval or rejection of which they have up to 14 days to make their decision.  This means that although items are in the auction list for sale they may no longer be available for sale.  The first and/or highest successful bidder will get the first option to purchase the item.  All jewellery items will remain listed as available even when there is a successful bid until the item has been paid for in full. If the bidder does not follow through with the purchase then the next offer will then be considered for acceptance. We try and provide as much detail as possible about each item but if you would like to find out further information you can phone, email, live text with one of our jewellery consultants or you can make an appointment to view the item at our showroom before you make your offer.

2. Purchase outright or make an offer

Our tender auction works in two ways, purchase immediately at the sellers asking price or place a silent tender bid on the item and wait and see if the offer is accepted by the seller. All jewellery has an immediate purchase price that will allow you to purchase the item directly without waiting for an acceptance reply as long as there is not an accepted offer already invoiced.  With a direct purchase you just need to fill out the purchase information form and we will contact you with the itemised invoice.  The buy now price does not include the buyer premium or the GST, which will be itemised in your invoice. Click here to learn how to calculate your final total The immediate offer price is set by the individual seller with the assisted instruction of Diamond Brokers Queensland to ensure that the listed price is a fair price for the item and is still a very competitive price on the market. To make a silent tender offer place your offer into the box provided in the product listing. You will then be directed to fill out the necessary details required to make your offer to the seller official.  All tender offers will be forwarded to the seller to which they have up to 14 days to either accept or reject the offer.  The offer may be accepted immediately or the seller can choose to delay their decision for up to 14 days to allow for multiple offers to be considered. If the tender offer is successful then the buyer is required to confirm that they are still interested in purchasing the product and an invoice will be issued for immediate payment.

3. Accept your successful offer

If you have chosen to purchase a jewellery item outright or have made a successful tender bid you will be contacted by one of our Diamond Brokers team members by either phone or email to confirm your purchase and issue you with your itemised invoice.

4. Purchase

Invoices will be issued at the accepted purchase price or listing price and are the price paid for the good exclusive of the Auction 10% buyers premium and GST which will be added to the invoice final price. $Purchase price x 1.1 (buyers premium) x 1.1 (GST) = $Total Invoice All purchases require a deposit payment of 25% within 3 days of invoice and full payment within 14 days of invoice unless otherwise arranged with Diamond Brokers Queensland. All jewellery and gemstone purchases have an unconditional 10 day cooling off period for a full refund from the date of invoice. Payments can be made via direct deposit using your name and invoice number, by credit card in store or over the phone, PayPal or cash in store.

5. Collection – Pick up or delivery
