This design is the most popular with antique lovers and works best for an engagement ring when above 1.5 carats, as it highlights the simplicity of the cut and shows off the antique intentions of the ring design. Classic traits of this cut are a lower colour, H-L, large culet and a girdle that has natural and uneven edges. The symmetry is quite even and well cut for the age and cutting ability of when they were produced.
