What Makes a Diamond Yellow in Colour?
Yellow diamonds are actually a part of the white diamond grading scale as they are coloured by the presence of Nitrogen within the atomic structure of the diamond crystal. The higher the presence of nitrogen the more prominent the yellow colour becomes. Most yellow diamonds are considered off-white but just a small number of these stones just by chance are considered fancy yellow just because the tone created is considered attractive.
