At Opals to You, our family has been uncovering the rare treasures of the Grawin Opal Fields, near Lightning Ridge, New South Wales, for over 40 years. With two generations of experience and a deep respect for the land, we are proud to share Australia’s most precious gemstone, Black Opal.
Our journey began with a passion for the opal fields that quickly grew into a lifelong family legacy. Today, our mining operation continues to ethically source natural solid opal directly from our own claims, ensuring that every gem is 100% authentic and responsibly mined.
From rough stone to radiant jewellery, each opal is hand-cut, polished, and crafted with precision and care. With the freeform nature of premium solid black opals, pendants are the perfect way to show off the stunning play of colour presented in an opal for everyone to admire. Black Opal earrings are a true luxury. To find two opals of the same size, shape and colour pattern to make a matched set of earrings is a rare and exclusive acquisition. There is always an ambition for the miner to craft a rough opal into a symmetrical oval shape ideal for a classic style dress ring. However, creativity and uniqueness also comes from crafting a ring around an asymmetrical freeform opal.
